Next morning women offer these things to Sheetla Mata and pray for the happiness and prosperity of the family. On this day the members of the house including Sheetla Mata also eat stale food, for this reason, it is also called the Basoda festival. It is believed that it is not appropriate to eat stale food after this day.

It marks the end of the winter season and is considered to be the last day of this season. By doing this worship, Sheetla Mata is pleased and by her grace, fever, yellow fever, foul-smelling boils, pimples, defects of Sheetla and all diseases of the eyes are removed.
