The time of Shukla Shashthi of Bhadrapada month is celebrated in the form of Skanda Shashthi fast and worship. Start of Shashthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month: 1st September will be from Thursday at 14:50 pm. Shashti Tithi will end on Friday, September 2 at 13:52. On this day an auspicious yoga named 'Indra' will also be formed. This Shashthi date of Bhadrapada month is also called Surya Shashthi, on this day the worship of Sun God is also done specially.

Worship method of Skanda Shashthi
On the day of Skanda Shashthi, one should purify oneself by taking bath in Brahmamuhurta. After this, the idol of Lord Kartikeya should be established by laying a red cloth on a post. Along with this, idols of Shankar-Parvati and Ganesh ji should also be installed. After this, the Kalash should be established in front of Kartikeya ji. After this, first of all worship Ganesh ji. Akhand Jyoti should be lit. After this, water should be offered to Lord Kartikeya and new clothes should be worn. Fruits and sweets should be offered by offering garlands of flowers. Pooja should be completed with Katha and Aarti. By observing Skanda Shashti, one gets freedom from greed, attachment, anger and ego. Wealth, fame and fame increase.
