What to do if the basil plant dries up
Keeping Tulsi plant in the house is considered very auspicious in Hinduism. If there is a Tulsi plant in the house, it should be green because if a dried Tulsi plant is in the house, then it is not considered auspicious. If you have planted a Tulsi plant and it becomes dry, then it indicates that your financial condition is not good.
According to the belief, when the Tulsi plant dries up, a new plant should be planted in its place and the dried plant should be immersed in water.

Read this small mantra during Tulsi Puja
It is believed in astrology that if the Tulsi plant is worshiped with the chanting of mantra, then the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi are obtained. It is also believed that in the house where Tulsi is worshiped with this mantra, there always remains a blessing.  Tulsi mantra while giving water in Tulsi-

 "Mahaprasad Janani Sarva Saubhagyavardhini, Aadi Vyadhi Har Nityam Tulsi Tvam Namostute"

 Chanting this mantra at least 108 times can give special benefits. It is believed that chanting this mantra while worshiping Tulsi keeps positivity in the house. At the same time, all the sorrows of life go away.

Don't touch basil without bathing
Never touch the Tulsi plant without taking a bath. Because Tulsi plant is like a god, both Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu reside in it. Touching a Tulsi plant without taking a bath incurs sin. The leaves of Tulsi plant should never be plucked after evening. Do you know that touching Tulsi on Ekadashi or breaking its leaves is said to be prohibited.

Tulsi's special remedy
On the day of Ekadashi, make a clay or flour lamp near Tulsi and light it in ghee and when the lamp is lit, then definitely put some turmeric in it. If there is no Tulsi plant in the house, then this remedy can also be done in any temple. While lighting the lamp under the Tulsi plant, keep in mind that the lamp should face north. If the lamp is of flour, then light the lamp and feed it to a cow the next day.
