Significance of Scorpio Sankranti
According to Hindu belief, it is auspicious to donate, bathe and worship the Sun God on Sankranti Tithi.
This year on November 16 at 7.27 pm, Sun God will enter Scorpio. After this, God Sun will stay in this zodiac for a month. On the day Vrishabha Sankranti, aarti should be done to lord Sun with incense-lamp. To get the blessings of the Sun, chant the mantras of the Lord Sun . On this Sankranti, light a lamp in front of God by applying ghee and red sandalwood paste. On the day of Sankranti, offer red flowers to the God Sun and after that pudding made of jaggery should be offered.
