Benefits of worship :-
Why is girl worship done during Navratri?
There is a great importance of worshiping the girl child during Navratri festival. The Navratri fast of the devotees is completed only after worshiping the nine girls as the reflection of the nine goddesses. Kanya Pujan is done to get the fruits of all auspicious works. Worshiping Kumari gives respect, wealth, knowledge and glory. It also destroys obstacles, fear and enemies. The goddess is not as pleased with home, chanting and charity as it is with the worship of a girl child.
Devotees worship the mother with full devotion for nine days of Varatri, but Navratri worship and fasting are considered complete only when the girl child is worshiped on the last day. Worshiping the girl child has special significance during Navratri. In the form of Kanya Pujan, the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in the form of nine girls. Devotees offer dakshina to the girls according to their ability. Navratri worship is considered successful only after Kanya Pujan.
Goddess Durga is very pleased with the worship of the girl and takes away all the sorrows of her devotees. Girls are worshiped on the last two days of Navratri i.e. Ashtami and Navami considering them as nine forms of girls. According to beliefs, once Mata Vaishno Devi, being pleased with the devotion of her supreme devotee Pandit Sridhar, not only saved his shame but also gave existence to the entire creation as her own.
