Goddess Shailputri is worshiped on the first day of Chaitra Navratri on April 2, on this day all the people put the chowki of Goddess in their house and establish a Kalash on it. On this day all the devotees keep fast with full devotion. Goddess Shailputri holds a trident in her right hand and a lotus flower in her left hand. Goddess Shailputri wears a crescent on her head.
Goddess Brahmacharini is worshiped on the second day of Navratri. Goddess Brahmacharini represents knowledge and determination on April 3, Goddess Brahmacharini will be worshipped.
Goddess Chandraghanta, who rides a tiger is worshiped on the third day of Navratri. This goddess represents peace and also has half-moon in the shape of a “ghanta” on her forehead. That's why she is called Chandraghanta Devi. This time Chandraghanta Devi will be worshiped on April 4.
Goddess Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. It is believed that Goddess Kushmanda contributed to the creation of the world. Goddess Kushmanda rides a lion and she holds a deadly weapon in her hands. This time Goddess Kushmanda will be worshiped on 5th April.
Goddess Skandamata is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. In the lap of Goddess Skandamata is her son Skanda. Goddess Skandamata holds a lotus, kamandal and bell in her hands. Goddess Skandamata is believed to purify the soul of her devotees. This time Goddess Skandamata will be worshiped on 6th April.
Goddess Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Navratri. This time on 7th April, devotees will worship Goddess Katyayani. Mata Parvati took the form of Goddess Katyayani to destroy the demon Mahishasura.

Maa Kaalraatri is worshiped on the seventh day of Navratri. This is the fiercest form of the nine forms of the goddess. Goddess Kaalraatri holds a khadak in one hand and a khappar in the other. This time Goddess Kalratri will be worshiped on 8th April. Those people where Kanya pujan are done on the day of Ashtami, they keep fast only this day.
Mahagauri is worshiped on the eighth day of Navratri. Mata Mahagauri is a symbol of peace and purity. Kanya Pujan is done in some families on this day. Devotees in whose house Kanya Pujan is performed on Navami Tithi, remain fast on this day. This time this fast will be kept till 9th April.
Mata Siddhidatri is worshiped on the last and ninth day of Navratri. Lord Shri Ram was born on this day and this day is celebrated as the festival of Ram Navami. On this day the devotees of the goddess perform Kanya Pujan. In this, they invite nine girls into their homes, and after washing their feet, all kanya’s are fed with respect and send them off by giving gifts.
After 9 days of hard worship, fast, and after the Kanya Pujan, the devotees open their fast by accepting the prasad of the goddess and pray she always keep her grace on them.
