Legend of Goddess Katyayani's Incarnation:

The incarnation of Goddess Katyayani was for the destruction of evil forces. According to mythological stories, once Maharishi Katyayan performed severe penance to obtain offspring. Pleased with his devotion, the goddess incarnated in his house. It is also believed that during the Dwapar Yuga, the gopis worshipped Goddess Katyayani to attain Lord Krishna as their husband.

Rituals for Maa Katyayani Puja 2024:

Devotees should start the day early with the puja rituals. After completing morning ablutions, decorate the place of worship with flowers around the idol or image of the goddess. Offer fruits, flowers, sweets, cloves, cardamom, rice grains, incense, lamps, and bananas. Perform aarti with camphor and ghee. Recite the Aarti of the goddess, Durga Saptashati, and Durga Chalisa.
