New Delhi. The way to celebrate Chhath Puja is now cleared even at some ghats on the banks of river Yamuna in Delhi. Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena gave its approval on Wednesday. After giving the approval, the LG has directed the Delhi government to mobilize the lighting and water, including the cleaning of Chhath Ghats for worship.Along with this, the guidelines of NGT should also be ensured. Let us inform that after the approval of celebrating Chhath Puja on the banks of Yamuna, BJP has made a big attack on the common Kejriwal government. BJP has accused Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of misleading people and spreading false propaganda about the central government.
What is the Delhi government preparing for Chhath? The LG of Delhi has said that the Kejriwal government misrepresented the people for not giving permission for worship on the banks of Yamuna. The LG has objected that the puja was to be held at some selected ghats, but the manner in which it was told by the Kejriwal government sent a message that worship can be done anywhere on the Yamuna. The LG has also directed the Ministry of Revenue and Environment to strictly follow the orders of the NGT on the banks of Yamuna.
Volunteers will be stationed at these ghats, however, only recently, CM Arvind Kejriwal had issued instructions to the officials to make arrangements for Chhath Puja at 1100 ghats of Delhi. For this, the Delhi government had allocated Rs 25 crore for 1100 ghats. Along with this, instructions were issued to all the District Magistrates that no polluting material is immersed in the Yamuna river, for this additional measures should be taken.
