This year Mokshada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 14th December. According to religious beliefs, the ancestors get salvation due to the effect of fasting on Mokshada Ekadashi. All the sins of the devotees are destroyed and their wishes are fulfilled.
Muhurta of Mokshada Ekadashi
This year, Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsh month is starting from 09:32 pm on Monday, 13th December. Ekadashi Tithi is next day on 14th December till 11.35 pm. Udayatithi is valid for the fast, so the fast of Mokshada Ekadashi will be kept on Tuesday, 14th December.

Significance of Mokshada Ekadashi
Mokshada Ekadashi means Ekadashi that bestows salvation. By fasting on this Ekadashi, a person attains salvation after death. On this day Lord Krishna preached the Gita to Arjuna, hence the importance of Mokshada Ekadashi increases.
Fasting method
Get up in Brahma Muhurta and clean the house and place of worship after taking bath.
In the temple of the house, bathe the Lord with Gangajal and offer clothes to him.
Offer tilak of Roli and Akshat to the Lord and offer fruits in the form of Bhogas.
