2. On the day of Raksha Bandhan, the Rakhi is attached according to traditional practises after one day of Ekashana. Then Pitru-Tarpan and Rishi-Poojan or Rishi-Tarpan are performed at the same time. By doing so, one receives the blessings and cooperation of the ancestors, putting an end to all of life's problems.
