Chhath Mahaparva is also mentioned in the Vedas. This festival is also mentioned in Rigveda, and some mantras for worship are also taken from Rigveda Veda. Importance of Chhath PujaChhath Puja has great significance in Hindu texts. According to mythology, the chath mother is the Manas daughter of Lord Vishnu. It is found in mythology that the chath mother is the sister of the Sun God. She is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Katyayani, a form of Durga. At the time of creation of the universe, Brahma Ji had divided himself into two parts. In which one part became male and the other assumed the form of female, which later became Mother Nature. After that Mother Nature divided herself into six parts, in which the final form was called the chath.
