• Wake up early in the morning and take bath.
• Wear clean clothes after taking bath.
• Light a lamp in the temple of the house.
• If possible, fast.
• Offer offerings to Lord Shiva. Keep in mind that only sattvik things are offered to God.
• Worship Lord Shiva.
• On this day, meditate more and more on God.
• Offer Ganga water and milk to Shivling.
• Offer Bel leaves to Lord Shiva.
• Abhishek of Lord Bholenath with Ganga water.
• Offer flowers to Lord Bholenath.
• Along with Bholenath, worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha on this day. Lord Ganesha is worshiped before any auspicious work.
