This year Diwali is on 4th November and Dhanteras is on 2nd November. Huge crowds gather in the markets to shop for Dhanteras and Deepawali. During this, we see colorful lamps in the shops. Diya’s have special significance in Diwali. People decorate their house with different types of divas on this day. Nowadays, even though new designs have come in the market, but even today the earthen lamp is considered to be the purest.

Although lamps are lit in everyone's house on the day of Diwali, but many people do not know at which places lamps should be lit. People do not even know what are the benefits of lighting a lamp at these places. That is why today we are going to tell you about 20 such places where you must keep a lamp on the day of Diwali.

Know why Goddess Kali is worshipped on Diwali

1. Light a lamp while worshiping Lakshmi on the day of Diwali. The lamp is often made of brass or steel. It is called seven faced lamps. Maa Lakshmi is pleased by burning it.

2. On the day of Diwali, a lamp of pure ghee made from cow's milk should be lit in the temple. With this, you will get rid of debts soon. It also removes the financial crisis.

3. On the day of Deepawali, light the third lamp near Tulsi. If you do not have a Tulsi plant in your house, then you can light a lamp near any other plant. By doing this Lord Vishnu and Tulsi Mata are pleased and give blessings.

4. After this the fourth lamp is placed outside the door on the threshold. Light two lamps on the right and left of the door. Also make a rangoli between two divas. By doing this, whatever wish you have asked for money will be fulfilled.

5. After this, keep the fifth lamp under the Pepal tree. This will end the problem of money. Also, the fault of Yama and Shani will not be felt.

6. The sixth lamp given on the night of Diwali is kept in a nearby temple. By doing this the deities are pleased.

7. The seventh lamp is placed at the place of keeping the garbage so that the negativity comes out from the house.

8. Eighth lamp is placed in the corner of the bathroom so that the doshas of Rahu and Chandra are eliminated.

9. The ninth lamp is kept in the house or gallery of the house.

10. The tenth lamp is placed on the boundary of the walls or walls of the house.

11. Place the eleventh lamp on the window of the house.

12. After this, keep the twelfth lamp on the roof of your house.

13. Keep the thirteenth lamp at the crossroads near your house.

14. Light the fourteenth lamp in front of the all   deity, the fathers, and the Yama.   
 
15. Place the    fifteenth lamp in gaushala   on Diwali.  This    pleases   Mother Surabhi (mother of cows) and Shrikrishna. 
 
16. If you want to receive the blessings of Lord Shiva, definitely place   a given bilva under the tree of the letter.    
 
17. On   Diwali, definitely light a lamp near your nearby pond or river.   This will free you from all kinds of defects.  
 
18. On this day, light a lamp in a cremation ground or a deserted place. This will give you natural blessings.  

19. Apply a Diya to the south part of the house.   This will give you the blessings    of the fathers.  
 
20. Finally   light a lamp in every corner of the house.
