As per the Hindu calendar, Kalashtami is celebrated every month on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha. Kalashtami is falling on 2nd June i.e. on Wednesday in the month of Jyestha.
Kalabhairava is known as the fifth avatar of lord shiva. He has two forms, the first form is Batuk Bhairav, who is known for giving sanctuary to devotees, while Kaal Bhairava is known for controlling criminal tendencies. No one can get shelter in the three worlds if they will destroy the devotees of Lord Bhairav. As per mythological beliefs, worshiping Lord Bhairav on the day of Kalashtami will make the person brave & confident, he will also get rid of many problems of life.
Significance of Kalashtami fast:
Kalabhairava is known as the fifth avatar of lord shiva. Lord Kalabhairava is the destroyer of all the sins and diseases. As per the Hindu scriptures, if you will keep a fast Devoutly on the day of Kalashtami, then you will receive the blessings of Lord Shiva. Kalashtami 2021: Puja vidhi
On the day of Kalashtami, wake up early in the morning take bath and offer prayers to Lord Kaal Bhairav. Also, keep a fast for the whole day, then make a lamp with black sesame, urad daal, put mustard oil in it then light the lamp at night and sing the aarti of Lord Kaal Bhairav.
As per the belief, Lord Kaal Bhairav's vehicle is a dog, after breaking the fast, one should first make some food and feed it to the dog. By doing this, the devotee will seek the blessings of Lord Kaal Bhairav . By worshiping Lord Kaal Bhairav with a pure heart any negative energies, obstacles will be destroyed & the devotee will attain fruitful life.
How to please Lord Bhairav?
Along with worshiping one must feed the dog. The dog is the vehicle of Lord Bhairav so, it is very important to offer food to the dog. It is believed by doing this the devotee gets a special fruit. Apart from this, devotees should recite Bhairav Chalisa on this day.
