Know the temple in which Nine Flames are burning without Oil and Wick for thousands of years

After Mata Sati left her body by jumping into the burning havankund, Shaktipeeths have been built in the places where the body parts of Goddess Sati had fallen in India. One of these 51 Shaktipeeths of Maa Bhagwati is the Jwaladevi temple located in the Kangra Valley of Himachal. This temple is considered to be extremely miraculous and one of the main temples of Mata. In this temple, Goddess is seated in the form of Jwala and Lord Shiva is situated here in the form of Unmat Bhairav. This famous Jwaladevi temple is also known as Jota Wali Mandir, Nagarkot and Gorakh Dibbi. Nine flames are worshiped in this miraculous temple, which have been burning continuously for thousands of years without oil and wick.
 
What is the significance of this place 
Mata Sati's tongue had fallen while leaving her body at this holy place. The Jwaladevi temple was first built in the Satyuga by King Bhumi Chand, a devotee of Mahakali, inspired by his dream. After this it is believed that this temple was discovered by the Pandavas. After this, Gurugorakhnath did severe penance here and got a boon and blessings from Goddess. After this, again in 1835, Raja Ranjit Singh and Raja Sansar Chand rebuilt this temple.

Why this temple is unique:
It is often seen in Hindu temples that idols made of stone or some kind of metal are worshipped. But this temple of Goddess is different from other temples because no idol or picture of any kind is worshiped here, but the nine flames emanating from the womb of the earth are worshipped. These nine flames are popular as symbols of the nine forms of Goddess. The biggest flame which is burning inside the temple is Jwala Devi and the other eight flames as Maa Annapurna, Maa Vidhyavasini, Maa Chandi Devi, Maa Mahalakshmi, Hinglaj Mata, Saraswati Mata, Ambika Devi and Maa Anji are located in the temple.

Where are these flames coming out from?
Many geologists came from all over the world to reveal the secret of these flames coming out of the womb of the earth for thousands of years, till the bottom of the temple was excavated. Not only this, even during the British Empire, a lot of effort was made to know how and from where this natural gas came out from under the ground. But till date no one has been able to solve this mystery. Now it is up to you whether you will consider it a science or a miracle.

Emperor Akbar tried to extinguish the flame by pouring water
Akbar tried to test the Goddess or damage the place by wrong intention. First of all he got his army to pour water in the whole temple, but the flame of the Goddess did not extinguish. It is said that then he dug a canal and turned the water towards the flame, but even then that flame did not extinguish. After that, Akbar was convinced and offered a golden umbrella there, but the Goddess did not accept it and that umbrella fell and changed into some other substance. But till date it is not known which metal it is. You can still see the umbrella offered by Akbar in the Jwala Devi temple.
