Importance of Pradosh Vrat
As per the religious beliefs, all the sufferings and sins of the person are erased, by observing Pradosha. Lord Shiva is also blessed, along with completing your wishes. As per the folk beliefs, a person gets a son. by observing Shani Pradosh. So, particularly people keep Shani Pradosh vrat in hope of children.
Pradosh Vrat Pooja Method:
Many of the devotees fast for 24 hours, they do not eat anything and don’t even sleep during that hours. They break their fast after taking prasad in the evening.
Some people do not fast, they only prey by taking an early bath in the morning of Pradosh, in the evening time of twilight they offer naivedya and lit a deepak in front of idols.
For Abhishek, Devotees visit Shiva temples.
Idols of Lord Shiva. Maa Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Kartikey, and Nandi are made up of clay. Along with chanting 'Om Namah Shivaya.'Abhishek of Shivling is done by bathing it with many things like as ghee, milk, honey, curd, sugar, bhang, gangajal, itra etc
