There is also a practice of giving a gift to the sister as Shagun by the brother on this day. According to astrology, it is important to look at the auspicious time to tie rakhi so that this relationship of siblings becomes stronger over time. In this case, the highest attention is paid to Bhadra Kaal and Rahu Kaal. These are considered to be inauspicious times. Don't tie rakhi at this inauspicious time
According to Panchang, Bhadra will be present till 06:16 am. Do not tie rakhi in Bhadrakal under any circumstances. Bhadrakal is considered to be a destructive period. That's why it's called unlucky. It is religiously believed that Ravana tied rakhi to his sister in the Bhadra period in the Treta Yuga. Since then the path of his downfall had been cleared and he was finally destroyed. So no sister ties rakhi on her brother's wrist during the Bhadra period. In addition, Rahu Kaal will start from 05:05 pm to 06:39 pm. There is a religious belief that no work done during the Rahu period succeeds. Therefore, the work of tying Raksha sutras should also not be done during the Rahu period. Both Bhadra and Rahu periods are considered to be inauspicious times.
