Veerabhadra is considered to be the Gana of Lord Shiva. This incarnation was born from his hair. When Mata Sati had abandoned her body in a yagna organized by King Daksha, the father-in-law of Lord Shiva, in anger, Lord Shiva pulled a hair from her head and threw it on the mountain.
