Shradh 2021-know how and by whom did this tradition started
Shradh rites performed with
reverence for the deceased , the Pind and the donation is called Shradh and the dead person whose all the physical activities up to one year are completed, the same 'Pitr' is called Pitra. It is written in the Vayu Purana that 'My ancestors, who are spirits, may be satisfied with the balls of barley mixed with sesame seeds. Also, every thing in the universe, from Brahma to the straw, whether it is variable or constant, be satisfied by the water given by me.

according to the ancient literature of the full moon of Shravan month of the fathers are coming on the earth. He sits on the buds of the newly arrived Kusha. During Shradh or Pitru Paksha, whatever donations and food is offered in the name of ancestors or whatever is taken out in their names, it is received by the ancestors in a subtle way. The law of performing Shradh for three generations has been told in the scriptures. According to the Puranas, Yamraj frees all the living beings every year during the Shraddha Paksha. So that they can go to their relatives and take tarpan. Three ancestors, father, grandfather and great-grandfather are considered as three gods. Father is considered equal to Vasu. Rudra Devta is considered like a grandfather. Aditya Devta is considered as great-grandfather. These are considered representatives of all other ancestors at the time of Shradh.
