Get up in Brahma Muhurta and take sargi etc. as per the tradition of the house. After taking bath, take a vow of Nirjal fast. In the evening, sit near Tulsi and light a lamp and listen to the story of Karva Chauth. Before moonrise, keep incense-lamp, roli, flowers, fruits, sweets etc. on a plate. Fill a pot with water to offer arghya. Fill rice or chiuda etc. in clay made karva and keep some money in it as Dakshina. Keep makeup items on a plate. Start worshipping after seeing the moon. Offer tilak to all the deities, fruits and flowers, sweets etc. Keep all the items of makeup in the worship and do the vaccine. Now offer water to the moon god. Light a lamp in a sieve and see the moon, now see your husband through a sieve. After this, break the fast by drinking water from the hands of the husband.
