Dussehra or Vijayadashami is celebrated every year as a symbol of the victory of good over evil. As per Hindu Panchang, the festival of Dussehra i.e. Vijay Dashami is celebrated on the tenth day. On this day Lord Rama killed the arrogant Ravana and saved the earth from his wrath. It is also celebrated as a celebration of the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishadur. This festival is considered a symbol of the victory of good over evil.
