On this day a fair is held in the temples of Lokdevta Teja Ji Maharaj and lakhs of devotees visit him. On this day, colourful umbrellas are also offered to Veer Teja Ji Maharaj. Dashavatar fast will also be observed on this day.
1. On the day of Bhadrapada Shukla Dashami, the devotees who worship Lokdevta Teja Ji Maharaj with full gusto, do not have the fear of snakebite.
2. On the day of Teja Dashami, you must offer colourful umbrellas to Veer Teja Ji Maharaj.
3. On this day, you must worship the mother cow, feed her green fodder. According to the belief, when Teja Ji went to find the robber in the forest, on the way, a snake comes and bites in front of his horse. Then Teja Ji prays to them and promises that after freeing their sister's cows, they will come together then they should bite them.
4. If a person is suffering from snakebite and if he goes to Teja Ji temple and ties a tanti (thread) in his name, then there is no effect of the poison on him, it is believed. It also protects against other poisonous insects including snakebites.
5. Offering saffron mixed water on Lord Shri Hari Vishnu on this day gives freedom from all the sudden obstacles in life.
6. On this day, holy marks are offered at the places of Teja Ji Maharaj on the completion of their vows.
7. On the day of Bhadrapada Shukla Dashami, after worshipping 10 incarnations of Shri Vishnu Ji, offering them fennel prasad and burning 10 fennel seeds offered to Shrihari with camphor is considered beneficial.
8. On this day, by chanting the powerful mantra 'Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya' of Vishnu Ji as much as possible, every obstacle in life is removed.
9. On this day, keeping red gunja seed (chirmi) offered to Shri Hari Narayan in the safe ends financial problems.
10. On the day of Teja Dashami, there is a belief to offer churma to Lokdevta Teja Ji Maharaj in the prasad.
